Project Overview
Every year, the American Heart Association (AHA) in Utica, New York holds a logo design competition for America's Greatest Heart Run & Walk fundraiser event. The competition for the 47th anniversary of the event challenged designers to create a logo that captured the tagline "Apart, Yet Together," included the event title, and adhered to the association's brand guidelines. Two of my designs were selected by the AHA board for the public round of voting by the public on Facebook. Ultimately, one of my logo designs won the competition and was applied to t-shirts and other items related to the event.
The logo is a heart-shaped medal—representing the progress already achieved thanks to the Heart Run & Walk's fundraising and the advancements expected as AHA continues to improve the health and well-being of all.
