Nina in a Nutshell
What I Do
I'm a designer and design researcher motivated by understanding how things work, where they fall short, and how they might work better for the people they are meant to serve.
I use qualitative and design-based research approaches to examine complex experiences, see problems from new perspectives, and uncover opportunities for thoughtful design decisions grounded in the needs and experiences of the people they affect. I am especially interested in how design methods can help teams think differently about familiar problems and imagine more innovative, yet responsible directions.
With a background in communications design, I also use visual storytelling to help make complex ideas and research insights clear and accessible.
What I'm Looking For
I am completing my Master of Fine Arts in Design at The Ohio State University in the summer of 2026, and I am seeking opportunities to apply my strengths in generative research, innovation methods, human-centered design, workshop facilitation, and creative collaboration within and across teams working to improve services, systems, and experiences.
